Absence makes the heart grow fonder. So, by now, you should be head-over-heels in love with my blog. I have no idea where the past two months have gone, but I can tell you where I have gone in the past two months. My life has been an absolute whirlwind, spinning me round in circles from Pacific City to Dallas to Seattle and several other places in Eastern Washington. This also means I am too dizzy to hang artwork or put together furniture in my no-longer-new apartment. I had big dreams of blogging about my place, but with all the naked walls and an unassembled dining set, I think I'll chalk it up to a good idea and keep eating dinner on the floor.

I'll keep it short and sweet. Pictures are always so much better than boring blah blee blog anyway...

-Pacific City, Oregon for a family wedding. Mostly, I enjoyed the miraculous sunshine on the coast, seeing my mother ridiculously happy, and frolicking on the beach with my dearest cousin Lacey-Poo.

-Seattle for Holly Riding's engagement party. While I don't have any photos from the party, I just want to prove that Seattle continues to hide its furry, gray blanket of clouds from me every time I visit (which I don't mind one bit). Plus, I saw an amphibious rat doggy-paddling in Lake Washington. Eeeeeek!

-Rockwood Bakery. One of my best friends, Melissa, made the long drive from my home town to visit me...with 10 month old Eliza. I wish E wasn't growing up so fast, but she's still adorable. A highlight was Saturday morning breakfast at Rockwood Bakery near Manito Park...two of my favorite humans at one of my favorite places in Spokane. I could do that every Saturday.

-Crescent Bar, Washington for more frolicking with Lacey-Poo and a little bit too much fun celebrating Memorial Day. And if it isn't blatantly obvious, croissant is French for crescent. I felt visiting Croissant Bar was a legitimate excuse to consume 8 flaky, buttery croissants in 36 hours. Man, I love Costco. And croissants.

Cousins. Sisters. Same. Same.
-Grandview and Prosser, WA for Holly's bachelorette party. Yesterday (I am getting so caught up!), all of us girlies celebrated Holly's upcoming wedding with a day of wine tasting in Prosser.

-Palouse Falls, WA. On my way home from Grandview, I took a slight detour. For me, almost nothing is more calming than speeding on the empty roads of Eastern Washington with the window rolled down and my favorite country songs blaring from the speakers. I just feel free. So imagine my delight knowing that these winding country roads led me to a waterfall! I've been yearning for a trip to Palouse Falls for at least a year and finally carved a day out to enjoy it. I tromped around quite a bit, squealed when a snake slithered through the grass by the trail (yikes), peered over the edge as the water gushed over the cliff, and I even dug out my big-girl camera--which I admit, I still don't know how to use since I've buried it in my closet--for the occasion.

Another waterfall checked off the list!

You're very welcome for the laziest blog post ever. If the whirlwind ever subsides (or slows), I'll add words to my life in photos.
